Ultrasonic distance ranger
with Arjun Sarwal under the guidance of Prof. Dhananjay V. Gadre
The ultrasonic distance ranger designed by us employs the 8-pin, 8-bit AVR AtTiny45 microcontroller. A 40 kHz sound burst is sent from an ultrasonic transmitter and the delayed signal reaching the ultrasonic receiver is conditioned by a complex analog filtering and amplification circuitry. A software-emulated half-duplex UART is implemented at the microcontroller side to communicate with the host computer.
